About Story Playhouse
Story Playhouse is an author-led children's book discovery and creative play site. In this first version, the site features our own children's books, with local-only playroom activities for families. In the future, Story Playhouse may also help families discover books by other self-published children's authors.
What we collect
Story Playhouse may collect a parent email address if a grown-up chooses to join story alerts or contact us. Our hosting and email providers may also process basic technical information needed to run the site, such as server logs, IP address, browser type, and request details.
What we do not collect from children
Story Playhouse v1 does not create child accounts, child profiles, comments, chat, uploads, galleries, or saved drawings. Children do not need to enter names, email addresses, birthdays, photos, or other personal information to use the Playroom.
Local-only creative play
Colouring, sticker scenes, and other Playroom activities run in the browser. Story Playhouse does not receive, store, publish, or review children's drawings or sticker scenes in v1.
Story alerts
Parents can share an email address to ask for new story updates. Story Playhouse uses that parent email only for book updates, site updates, and related owner follow-up. Parents can ask to be removed from the update list by emailing hello@storyplayhouse.ca.
Purchases and external links
Book purchase buttons open external retailer checkout pages, such as Amazon. Story Playhouse does not process payments, collect card numbers, manage shipping, or handle retailer accounts. External retailers and services have their own privacy policies.
Third-party services
Story Playhouse currently uses Cloudflare for website hosting, DNS, and related site delivery, and Resend for story alert email delivery/notifications. Book purchases may open Amazon or other external retailer pages. We are not using analytics tools right now.
Future changes
If Story Playhouse later adds parent accounts, subscriptions, saved parent-approved creations, on-site payments, analytics, or listings from other authors, this policy should be reviewed and updated before those features launch.
